Hello everyone.
I thought it was about time to at least start thinking about artnouveau’s next contest. So I’ve set up a donation pool on my profile to collect 500 points for prizes. When the 500 points have been gathered I’ll throw in a three-month premium subscription to the 1st place winner as well as one month journal feature to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners on top. And then the contest will be announced.
EDIT: The 500 points for prizes have been collected, and the contest is almost ready to begin! Thank you to those of you who have donated points as well as to those who have offered other prizes.
If you would like to have a final part in deciding the theme, please copy the three themes from the list below that you would most like to work with and send them in a note to the group. (Make sure to include the number they have on the list below, but order them according to which you would like the most.)
Themes
Out of the themes that have been suggested so far, the following are the ones that are still in consideration:
1: Take a non-Art Nouveau piece of art and remake it in the style of an Art Nouveau artist.
2: Mash-up: Take the styles of two Art Nouveau artists (ex. Mucha and Klimt) and combine them in one new work.
3: Draw an advertisement poster in Art Nouveau style.
4: Choose a song and turn it into a visual Art Nouveau work.
5: Make an Art Nouveau work featuring a mythological being that is half beast/half human. (Could be combined with theme 2.)
6: Choose a Zodiac Sign to use in making an Art Nouveau work. (Could be combined with theme 2.)
7: Choose a Star Constellation to use in making an Art Nouveau work. (Could be combined with theme 2.)
8: Choose a Major Arcana Archetype to use in making an Art Nouveau work. (Could be combined with theme 2.)
9: Choose a film/movie or tv series and make an advertisement poster in the style of an Art Nouveau artist.
10: Make a visual Art Nouveau work where something mechanical is the main focus. (Could be combined with theme 1, 2 or 3.)
11: Badass Manly Art Nouveau: Take one (or more) of the toughest male characters you can think of and depict him (them) in Art Nouveau style.
More than one of these themes may be combined, but in the end there will be only one theme. You can still suggest new themes, just comment below.

January's featured deviation was the wonderful Sky on Fire by Apfelmaeuschen (https://www.deviantart.com/apfelmaeuschen).

Please take a moment to take a closer look at this lovely deviation and to check out the rest of Apfelmaeuschen (https://www.deviantart.com/apfelmaeuschen)'s beautiful gallery.
The idea behind the Monthly Feature is to put a spotlight on a different Art Nouveau deviation each Month and give the artist who made it lots of love in the shape of comments, constructive critiques, faves, llamas and anything else you can think of. I hope you will all help me achieve this.
